Alexander Adiarte named new conductor for BISYOC European Intercultural Yourth Orchestra

I am very happy and proud to have been chosen as the next conductor of the BISYOC European Intercultural Youth Orchestra. The mission of this orchestra is to “encourage understanding, respect and social responsibility through active intercultural exchange.” Current world events prove to me that our efforts in bringing young people from Europe together in order to foster these characteristics continue to be important and relevant. I really look forward to working with this unique orchestra!

Stuttgart Youth Symphony wins German Youth Orchestra Competition

For the second time during my tenure, the Stuttgart Youth Symphony has won the 2. Prize of the Deutsche Jugendorchesterpreis (German Youth Orchestra Prize) offered by Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland. This year, 13 orchestras were inited to the final round, where each orchestra performed their own concert, conceived and organised primarily by the students. The prize-winning concert “Lost” performed in July 2021, can still be experienced on YouTube. Needless to say, I am very proud of my students, as they rightfully earned this 2.000 € Prize with their innovative and awesomely performed concert!

Adiarte featured by GTCYS

GTCYS – The Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies, where I played as a violinist in my youth, is featuring me as one of 50 Alumni to be celebrated during their 50th Anniversary year. I am honored and proud to be remembered by my own youth symphony. I still think fondly of our orchestra tour to Fiji, New Zealand & Australia, as well as playing for the opening ceremony for the Super Bowl when it took place in Minneapolis. It’s amazing how time flies when you’re having fun!
